The first international Service Experience Camp brought together over 200 participants from technology startups, design and consultancy agencies as well as global players and the public sector to discuss how to design and capitalize on services strategies.
Leaders of the Service Design field including design professor Reto Wettach, project lead Julia Kloiber from the Open Knowledge Foundation and founder Bohram Cho of the international startup kitchensurfing provided insights into their work. For the barcamp element, participants were invited to present their services to potential users and get to know talent that can help improve their service experiences. Barcamp sessions included a workshop on future mobility by Volkswagen’s service innovation team, an interactive session on service prototyping by Hasso Plattner Institute researchers and value flow mapping for sustainable business models.
THE WYE provided and managed the venue, staff, technology and assisted in creating a streamlined weekend event fitting those who know Service Design best.
